Panik's BA has been steadily climbing.  Hembree has been lights out so far and goes more than 1 inning here.  The Grizzlies handled the highly touted pitching prospect Bradley.

Mac's BA has been steadily rising.  He has more SB's than HR's.  Mitch Delfino can hit!  Another unimpressive start for Stratton.

Low A  Augusta Greenjackets downed the Hagerstown Suns 4-2:

Ryder Jones(SS)- 2 for 4, 2B.  BA= .258.
Tyler Horan(RF)- 2 for 4, 2B, SB(2).  BA= .294.

  1. Another fine pitching performance by Jones in Augusta as Dr. B pointed out...I was looking at the first three pitchers in the game for Augusta....Alvarado, Smith and Jones (Sounds like a TV show for us old guys)...Can anybody say anything on Jake Smith or Carlos Alvarado? Jake Smith is 23 and stats show him to be a high strikeout (and BBs) pitcher..in 7 games this year, he has 10 IP, 0 ERA, 0.9 WHip .114 BAA and 13 Ks

One line that Dr. B didn't mention was another scoreless and strikeout filled inning frot Steven Okert in SJ....So far this year in 9 outings..he has 9.1IP 5hits 1 ER and most importantly 3BB and 17K's..Turns 23 in July...

I think I also read that HUNTER STRICKLAND who last season was thought of VERY HIGHLY by the Giants and ready to be promoted from SJ when he got injured, was assigned to San Jose to begin his comeback for TJ surgery (http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/tranx.asp?T=25&Page=Team )....Let's wish him luck...
